Serta Orthopedic Quilted Couch Dog Bed Review

The Serta Orthopedic Quilted Couch dog bed is designed for a variety of breeds and sizes. The couch-style bolsters give extra support, so smaller dogs can share the bed and a larger dog can sleep in an array of positions. Serta has updated the bed since we first reviewed it, and this review now reflects the current model.

Specs

The main feature is a thick convoluted (egg crate) orthopedic foam cushion, which Serta compares to the foam in a human mattress. It relieves pressure on the joints while staying supportive under the dog’s weight. Every Serta pet bed is CertiPUR-US certified.

The bolster side pillows give the dog a place to rest its head, with the option to stretch out or curl up. This bed fits any sleep style, from lying down to curling up or even back sleeping. The sleep surface is a two-tone quilted plush.

Use and Care Instructions

The zippered cover comes off and is machine washable. The foam cushion can be spot cleaned with mild soap and water. Serta beds are assembled in North America and ship compressed, so allow the foam time to expand after unpacking.

Sizing

The bed now comes in more than one size. The large measures 38” x 27” x 10” and is listed for medium and large dogs. The X-Large measures 46” x 34” x 10” for bigger breeds. Several colors are available, including slate gray, desert sand and chocolate brown.

Sizing your dog to this bed may be tricky, since some breeds sleep differently or are particular about their bedding. Measuring your dog in their preferred sleep position will help you choose the right size bed for your pet. For a big dog that likes to stretch out, the X-Large is the safer choice.
